Overall Great Product
Shipping was very quick. The tiles were great quality and easy to put up. Only gave four stars instead of five because the pattern should come pre-cut so that you can interlock them. That was the most time consuming. Also, they are slightly see-through and you can notice some color differences where we put them over drywall tape.
I love the look!
This is a project I wanted to do for quite some time. The wall going up the steps of my townhome had dated wallpaper that I did not want to attempt to remove. These brick panels were just the look I was going for to update my home! Be sure you are up to the challenge and have your patience in check. I decided to cut each side of the panel so it would fit like a puzzle with the next piece in order for it to look fluid and not have visible vertical seams like wallpaper. The panels were easy to peel and stick. There are a handful of edges that I wound up gluing down. Be sure to have a sharp scissor and utility blade and go for it! You will not be disappointed!
Transformed my living room
I loved the end result of putting up fake brick wall in my living room. It feels like a new living space which I love. I made a few mistakes that I want you to avoid so here are my tips. -Get sharp scissors to cut out the side pieces of you want to fit the wall panels like a puzzle -Cut the grout out along the sides so each side (left and right) just starts with bricks and no grout. Otherwise the grout will overlap on top of each other and look very fake. -They are very sticky so you want to try and put them on correctly the first time. Start with the top left side of your wall and work your way down. Start the next panel by lining the foam against the ceiling. This will make it look even even if your wall isn’t. - Put them on messy, meaning don’t **** you self trying to line up everything perfectly. -when you get to the last panel, for the love of God measure out the size you need and cut the piece off in advance. Otherwise if you cut the excess (if it goes onto an adjacent wall) you will have to scrape off the excess glue which was a giant pain. I wanted to cry. -get yourself some spackle and fill in all the grout sections that have a gap. This is what makes it look like real brick! -the foam is very shiny and fake looking (unless it’s for the kitchen) I recommend getting a matte paint and painting over it. I used an eggshell color paint from Wherein Williams And it looks very natural. I’m delighted with the end result!
