They are as pictured- glittery, silver tea lights. Just what I was looking for to add to some Christmas/New Years decorations. The glitter does not fall off (I have had this happen with other glittery decorations)

I didn't realize they were factory defective. They did have an issue turning them on (you had to play with them a bit to get them to stay on) but once you did, they stayed on and looked very nice. For the price I paid, I was very happy with them.
