I thought from the pictures that they were actually made of glass but they are plastic and so far one of them came cracked. Haven't opened all the boxes yet. But for the money they are excellent as wedding centerpieces.

Although beautiful, very difficult to assemble. It took me about 25 minutes to assemble each one. Once assembled can not tighten enough to keep the shaft of the item from "wobbling". It is as if the arms are too top heavy for the base and the fact that the rod the holds the whole piece together runs from the base to the top making it impossible to hold the top while tightening the base. The candle holders are too large for a tapered candle (which was the purpose of my purchase) but will hold a tea light candle perfectly. The piece is plastic, with the exception of the candle cups, but no one could tell.
