The material is really thin and gets tangled with the string that's holding the sequence together. Its very see through also

Not quite as expected.
In the photo it does not look like it needs an underlay, that the sequins overlap more to cover the entire linen. But it does need an underlay since it is sewn onto mesh that you can see through.
