Tradition says that everything related to Halloween is supposed to be dark and creepy. For our Halloween dinner table, we decided to go with the traditional black linen but we infused elegance and depth in it by dressing it with our jet black velvet tablecloth with a gorgeous burgundy organza table runner atop to create a stunning contrast. While table décor is the center of attraction for many, we thought its best not to ignore our chairs and so we dressed them in something spectacular and distinguished. As you can see, the sophisticated graphic combination of our black and white striped chair covers makes a statement and gives our decor a refreshing touch.

Place Settings

We won’t say that place setting is the only vital element of any table décor but it surely is something your guests will keep their eyes on most of the time while at the table! Keeping this in mind, we arranged the place setting that will delightfully frighten your guests while they dine with you. Since the addition of rustic elements brings oomph to a Halloween décor, we opted for our wood slices with a touch of natural moss atop to serve as chargers for our modishly shaped black and gold hexagonal plates. Next, we complemented the gold on our stylish plates with baroque-designed gold cutlery, gold-dusted flutes, and champagne glasses. This display of place setting is sure to add an elegant flair to your eerie table décor and is bound to impress your guests for a perfect Halloween fete.

Centerpiece Decorations

We know that if one wants to go all out for a Halloween party, adding a large black candelabra is just the way to do it. Hence, we decided to place our majestic matte black and gold candelabra as the main centerpiece attraction on our tablescape. To elevate the look further, we opted for our antique-looking mercury glass candle holders that added extra texture and an eerie antiqued note to our table setup. All in all, the combination of our exquisite centerpieces instantly added a mysterious and sophisticated look to the entire table settings.

Additional Accents

Remember all those horror movies where darkness envelops the ambiance and the lighting is at a minimum? Our approach was to mimic that look with the addition of lots of flameless and long-creepy looking tapered candles placed in gem cut candleholders. Moreover, votive candles were placed on the mercury glass candleholder and candelabra for a cohesive candle light effect. When you recreate this look for your Halloween soiree, dim all the lights and light up the candles to invite guests to an elegantly eerie Halloween fete. 

While a floral décor would be our primary choice for any table décor, things are quite different for a Halloween tablescape. Still we managed to incorporate a mix of our burgundy greenery garlands and some black silk rose bouquets to give a little spooky forest-like look to our table. Moreover, the addition of some pine cones and black ostrich feathers here and there further added to the creepiness of our décor.

Have you always felt the urge to add a personalized touch to your décor whatever the event maybe? For our Halloween party table, we assembled a ribbon garland using our purple and orange ribbons, polka dot ribbons, scissors, a string, and a glue gun. We cut an almost equal length from each our ribbon wheels and glued them on the string with the help of a glue gun. Then, we attached this garland from either side to our tablecloth to add a pop of bright color to our table setup.
