Succulents as a Perfect Tool for Your Last-Minute Arrangements

•  Artificial Flowers & Plants

Whether you are craving to add some tropical freshness into your interior, event décor, or outfit, our succulents will definitely work for your wishes. Being real to the touch and look, these artificial evergreens will please your eyes as long as you want them to! Though most of them are sold in lovely pots, and ALL of them are charming as they are, yet you can enhance their charm manifold by making them a part of your crafts. For example, you can add a beachy feel into your interior décor with this charming marine-esque display.

Bringing it to life won’t take longer than half an hour – just make sure that you have the following:

1). Whatever idea is in your mind, start off with the container. Depending on the desired style and the designated place of your arrangement (on a tabletop, on a bookshelf, or on the counter), feel free to choose a “vessel” accordingly. For example, our wooden planter boxes are ideal for a rustic tabletop centerpiece while our classic glass terrariums will work perfectly for a Boho-style suspended arrangement. We’ve picked  our candle glass bowls, which gave us plenty of room for experiments.

2). Once you are ready with the vessel, it’s time to consider the bottom layer. In accordance with your idea in mind, you can fill your bowl with soil, moss, grass, pebbles, or even glitter. Since our goal was to recreate that beachy, oceanic display, we’ve decided on our natural-colored decorative sand Be sure to spread it evenly over the base of your container to attain that elegant uniform look!

3). Now, the most exciting part: succulents. Whether you pick aloeecheveria, Jelly Bean plants, or lotus, you’ll find yourself unable to distinguish them from living botanicals. When making a choice, you’ll want to take the size, shape, and coloration of these faux cacti plants into consideration. It’s up to you to decide whether to stock up on the same variety of succulents or follow the “mix-and-match” strategy. Another key factor to take into account is the number of your succulents – the bigger the vessel, the more plants it will require. In our opinion, three or four picks for our 10-inch bowl will let you manage a cohesive look.

4). After you’ve chosen your succulents, you can move on to the positioning part. In case you are dealing with succulents in pots, don’t panic – just pull them out of the containers and cut off excess stems. If you are looking for a fire-sure way to end up with a balanced composition, it’s highly recommended to decorate around the center of your bowl, making sure that each succulent is equidistant from the edges of the vessel. At the same time, you can get your creativity flowing by positioning these plants the way you find most inspiring.

5). When the succulents are there, add some scatters to achieve visual balance. For your seaside theme, you may consider our sea shells, pearls, or/and pebble stones from your backyard. Alternatively, you can experiment with acrylic ice or flower heads. Whichever accent you choose,, keep on your decoration process with moderation in mind – both empty gaps and over-crowded look may spoil everything.

6). That’s it – your ocean-inspired arrangement is ready for its debut! You can utilize it as a centerpiece for your tabletop or suspend it from your ceiling. In case there’re no celebrations on the agenda, you can add an oceanic feel into your workspace by placing it on your desk. Your kitchen chores will be more enjoyable and relaxed with this succulent bowl on your counter or kitchen island.

Anyway, what do you think about this display? Is it to your liking or have you come up with something even more charming? We’re looking forward to your feedback in the comments below!
