Master the Classic Three Point Fold in Three Ea...

Aside from quality, what more than presentation will score more points at a reception? The food is arranged perfectly, the table settings matching, all linens tucked under corners, and place cards marking the spots for every guest. Step your presentation up a notch by leaving the napkin roll method at home and trying an artistic and fun way to fold your linen napkins. Today we’re going to break down a classic, but classy fold that anyone can master. The classic three point fold – sound traditional but is impressively easy to master. Taking an ironed napkin, fold the napkin in half diagonally, matching the points evenly. Fold the right hand corner over to the left hand corner, but lower the tip to about 15 to 20 degrees lower. Now take the new right hand fold that you’d created, and make a pocket triangle by flattening the fold so it sits in the middle of newly created triangular pocket. Simple as that! Rotate the napkin so it’s sitting with the point up and you have yourself a gorgeous three point fold that makes the ideal area for placing silverware, decorative table accents, or place cards. Or leave it sitting as is and tuck these linen napkins around the plate settings for a little decorative flair. Here at TableclothsFactory.com you can choose from satin, taffeta, linen and our Tuscany-polyester napkins.

  • Planning a Spring Solstice Party? 3 Things to Remember

Planning a Spring Solstice Party? 3 Things to R...

    party decoration Spring decor

The Spring Solstice is nearly here! March 20th is when we know to put the socks in the drawers, and pull out your shorts and skirts! It’s also a beautiful time to relax with a spring solstice party. Keep these three facts in mind when planning your spring solstice inspired party! Spring is all about fresh starts, so why have a party just like every other time of the year when you can try something new. Instead of getting a typical DJ, get a dance instructor to come out and teach you all a new country step. Or for bachelorette parties, have a belly dancer or yoga instructor come teach a few tricks. On this day you’re getting exactly 12 hours of darkness and 12 hours of sunlight. After this point say goodbye to early dusks, and hello to brighter mornings. While you still can, hold a candlelit party, with candle ring centerpieces topping spring colored tablecloths, planned for 7:15 right before dusk will begin! Traditionally a spring solstice had meant for a lot of crazy happenings, and while your party may not be ready for a wild and crazy feast, you can hold a huge pot luck to stuff everyone’s bellies. Instead of a giant fire, break out the grills or make a campfire to roast and toast over. No time between planning other parties to have your own summer solstice party? Find out if there are any flower festivals, garden tours or summer solstice parties being held to go to.

    centerpiece Ideas Table Linens

Matching and making the right choices for your tables, from the centerpiece to the table runners can be difficult. While you can easily choose the standard of matching patterns, a fresh color combination with complimentary shades is always more fun. With some great choices like the flocking taffeta table runners, you really want to make the table work as a whole. For this week’s color combination, we’re starting with a royal blue flocking taffeta table runner base and working our way through some complimentary color choices for the rest of your table decorations. Chair colors: The royal blue chairs are a bold pick, but a real royal look will be to pick the gold or champagne satin chair covers. The yellow hue in them will compliment the blue in the table runner. Charger plate: Golden again, is our top pick for a flashy look. The solid color helps to not detract from the patterns on the runner. Choose the silver charge plate if subtlety is more your style. Pintuck placemats and napkins: Pick matching placemats and napkins. To match your gold plates, pick white. For the silver charge plates, choose the royal blue. For the flocking taffeta table runner, you can choose a pintuck table runner, but remember it will block out the lovely pattern that you’ve chosen. When you use royal blue, do you use bold complimentary colors or analogic and matching hues?
